It seems the stars are right

Sorry but I should post this: another ‘thangeroid’ (stolen from Undercurrent) piece on the birth of Hyperstition.

Things are dreadfully hectic here (meltdowm imminent!) so can’t join hyperstitional activities but I am working on a few posts.

In the meantime, don’t miss the swelling, unfolding dread.

Behold the Khattakoid crowd. (via Esmail Yazdanpour at Infinite Thought)

either I don't have the right fonts, or Barker wrote this article:

«‰”‰«Â Ÿ‰È «‰Õ”ÍÊ ËŸ‰È Ÿ‰Í »Ê «‰Õ”ÍÊ ËŸ‰È «Ë‰....

but, as Asterix might have said, "These Persians are crazy!"

>>> but, as Asterix might have said, "These Persians are crazy!"

"Asterix" ... lol; seems we have ruined our childhood in the same way.

these are not persians but the Iraqi Shias (in Karbala) puppetised by the iranian ones.

what about the moon? ol'rite too innit?

traveller's prayer (old english a kappela hymmmmn to the mmmmoon)

I found it online at the end of an archived radio show
http://www.wnyc.org/shows/newsounds/episodes/07272002 (last 5 minutes; it's got funny stuff by a very old hippy on it too); once you click the audio link it disappears and the url changes (dunno what that is good for )
http://www.wnyc.org/legacy/shows/newsounds/ns1749.html playlist

here's the text (via mudcat):

TRAVELLERS' PRAYER
(Arr. John Renbourn. From the Scottish Hebrides)
Praise to the moon, bright queen of the skies,
Jewel of the black night, the light of our eyes.
Brighter than starlight, whiter than snow,
Look down on us in the darkness below.

If well you should find us, then well let us stay,
Be it seven times better when you make your way.
Be it seven times better when we greet the dawn,
So light up our way and keep us from all harm.

Give strength to the weary. Give alms to the poor.
To the tainted and needy five senses restore.
Give song to our voices. Give sight to our eyes,
To see the sun bow as the new moon shall rise.

Cast your eyes downward to our dwelling place,
Three times for favor and three times for grace.
Over the dark clouds your face for to see,
To banish misfortune and keep trinity.

In the name of Our Lady, bright maiden of grace,
In the name of the King of the city of peace,
In the name of our Savior, who hung on the tree,
All praise to the moon, for eternity.

I'll have to wait for my computer-jock son to help me post the midi file. --Allison

btw, think I know why there is such a block on understanding the role of dusts in pests as well as in health; THE MOON IS MADE OF IT and we're mighty intimidated, realizing it charges and rules all fluids there's the connection between the wet and dry oxides, . . ..northangy could you see what 'the star' really does? ain't it pouring dust from one bottle into another or is there some mysterious cappilarity / mixage going on between evaporation and precipitation (seeing she is on a big water's edge?

oh, and tachi, yes i have time on my hands after all that mudstirring want some, lemme lay'm on you figuratively speaking Xing!!

Nick,

Yes, AZer; from A(?) to the Z.crowd. You nosy infidel, can't you keep your deciphering revelations for yourself; I have worked hard on this codename.

BTW, check your email ASAP.

Yes, it's originally irani/pakistani (esp. Pakistani); now, they have massively exported it to the democratic regime of iraq.

>>> Azer's email address scares me

You should get used to it. :)

it's with the stars as with most pitifully puny but nevertheless essential blinkflash fort da components of life, they don't sit still long enough to be taken seriously.
take falludja (fallusfort fallusda); what will emerge from this place?
innumeracist pestilence or numerafied truth about foreign feighters facing each other (except that the cowardly party chooses to use superior weapons and can't admit they are foreign fighters, not even here, let alone at 'home', where they call each other americans)

AZer - seems slight return of hotmail hell - maybe it will be better in office tomorrow
