Too Much Maths?

On understanding economies as intelligences.

Posted by Nick Land at March 8, 2005 01:08 AM

On-topic:

nick - excellent article. today, i discovered that the "force" that keeps this whole economic ball of wax together is not MONEY, but PRICES. i probably can take another look at your mechanomics with more clarity. (Kohn's paper mentions "atheoretical econometric methods" -- maybe that's you).

TOO MUCH MATHS refers to "mathematizing the theory of value" where the traditional economic Value Paradigm is top-down, rational, maximizing and unrealistic. VP does not reflect what is occurring in the market, doesn't correctly identify all players, and somehow magically produces PRICE without the direct interaction of any individual (ie, the price is what it is and cannot be changed). otoh, the Exchange Paradigm is realistic, bottom-up (and therefore emerges from actual behavior), prices must be set by someone, and it recognizes that exchange is not "costless".

"Since the exchange paradigm builds up from individual behavior rather than down from trading equilibrium, any systematic pattern of behavior will do. Indeed, economics as a discipline has no special claim to understanding the nature of individual behavior; presumably psychologists and cognitive scientists have much more to say about it. The stock in trade of economics, rather, is its understanding of the _aggregate outcome_ of individual behavior—or more precisely, of the 'unintended consequence of intended actions.' For that purpose, we are not obliged to assume individual behavior; we may ask what it actually is."

in a nutshell: VP is more dogmatic & rational and humans are viewed as maximizing robots (ok ok, i get cold rationalism now) vs. EP which is more naturalistic, irrational & based on actual market realities. btw, Kohn's paper does a great job defining both paradigms.

i loved reading all this because it helps me understand my astro system as defining an "aggregate outcome" -- the AO-extraction of several hundred astronomical points. these points traverse smooth path-sphere intelligences blending individual, tellurian-omegic & intergalatic forces emerging irruptive autophagic outcomes. a lot to consider.

CONCISE, CRISP AND TO THE POINT

he aint always but this is that sort of textbook material:
http://www.epwijnants-lectures.com/earlieststates.html excellent anthropology appetizer/intro with one ref: G. Algaze, Initial Social Complexity in Southwestern Asia: The Mesopotamian Advantage. 2001, Current Anthropology 42:199-233.

A quote: "Because early villagers, who had become increasingly specialized in the exploitation of local resources, knew a great deal about near and more distant places and the resources in those areas, village life led also to increased exchange with distant villages, although much exchange was probably "down-the-line," from village to village, rather than direct, long-distance travel . Some of the resources gained through this exchange, such as obsidian, were practical for daily life. Others, such as semi-precious stones, symbolized the status of certain individuals who acquired them. Exchange had social ramifications, since it could also create status. Whereas tasks of production and distribution in early villages could be negotiated within the kinship and social system, exchange required individuals to establish ties to people who were not relatives.

The existence of village life also provided opportunities for those who could exploit areas that were marginal for agriculture. Some people (often, presumably, kinsmen of villagers) could convert calories from less fertile land by tending animals and moving them seasonally to better pastures. These specialized herders could only flourish, however, by exchanging animal products for agricultural goods and craft products produced by villagers. Consequently, new divisions of labor arose in villages, in which women occupied with larger numbers of childen and food preparation also produced textiles and craft items, which could be exchanged with other villages and with the pastoral nomads. Partial crania of animals, figurines, wall paintings, and feathers (of raptors, whose bones are found) were employed in dances and ceremonies in early villages, which were also the scenes of social and economic interactions between settled and mobile people."

a longish thingo on Blavatsky says:

The occultist enterprise was an attempt to gainsay the ascendancy of a monolithic materialism by employing its own Enlightenment vocabulary of reason. Notions of evolution and progression were reconstrued as cosmic imperatives, so too the traditional metaphorical discourse of Western esotericism was made popularly acceptable by being represented as a reasonable spiritual alternative. That Blavatsky "press-ganged" reason into service against itself is no more, and probably no more less, quixotic than equally poignant attempts by such other children of the Aufklaerung as Karl Marx (1818-1883), Sigmund Freud (1818-1883) and, ironically, Darwin himself. These men presented humanity as being in thrall either to an economics-driven metahistory, an ultimately irrational psychopathology or the dictates of an unforgiving, unpredictable, and unconscious nature. Such paradigms, though presented in the vesture of reason, ultimately reflect a world in which reason cannot penetrate to the core of universal processes - and in which those who rely upon it are as ill-fated as anybody else. Blavatsky's "rationalising of the non-rational" in order to combat dreaded materialism - a quest personified by the figure of the spiritualised Master - may not have been so immediately influential as the formulations of Marx, Freud, and Darwin, but in all seriousness it may simply be too early to tell.

http://www.sai.tue.nl/research/archive/publications/waarom_eng.htm
As an illustration of this last issue, we refer to a discussion of the author with the Belgian artist Di Wesseli, who tried to get in touch with Dutch universities in the late 1980’s to support him in developing a working model for a perpetual mobile that he claimed to have invented. He proposed a complex assembly of hinged rods and compressible compartments that, partially submerged in water, would expand against the water pressure, and therefore would generate kinetic energy. He did not accept the objection that his machine could not work because it would violate the law of energy conservation. He held the opinion that energy conservation was a purely formal hypothesis, relating non-perceivable constructs that do not necessarily refer to real entities. Indeed, energy is an abstract concept (a computational quantity) that is not perceivable ‘directly’. An eventual conservation of energy therefore was at best the indirect result of a finite number of experiments that could not carry any explanatory power. And certainly, it could carry no *predictive* power for that reason. On the other hand, he did accept argumentation involving computational quantities that refer to forces and displacements, as these are directly perceivable. Therefore, according to Wesseli, they relate to ‘real’ things.

"PERPETUUM MOBILE"
An assessment of the 'Laws of Thermodynamics' from a Gödelian viewpoint

A paper by Frater Choronzon

http://freespace.virgin.net/ecliptica.ww/book/perpetuum.htm

Although it cannot be derived from the principles of mechanics (classical or quantum), the Second Law is nontheless a crucial element in conventional perceptions of the way in which the universe works. Time, for example, is often defined by reference to it; the direction of time being that in which entropy increases, and on that basis time is held to be irreversible. Time travel is held to be impossible, since, if it were theoretically admissible, then the Second Law would be violated.

The existence of a Perpetual Motion Machine (PMM), similarly, would pose a threat to the Second Law, since it is held that for entropy to decrease it is necessary for some external input, usually in the form of "useful" energy or work, to be provided; whereas a PMM could be applied to decrease the entropy of a closed system, thus violating the Second Law.

What appears to be ignored is the phenomenon described by Mitchell Feigenbaum whereby ordered patterns can emerge spontaneously from systems exhibiting chaotic behaviour. Given that the "equilibrium state" of any system is the eventual endpoint where its entropy, or disorderedness, is at its maximum, it seems to me that the emergence of resonant patterns must represent some decrease in entropy, and to describe such a process by which Order can become manifest out of Chaos I have coined the term 'Misentropy'.

here's something you might find useful related to shoggoth (too scared to post over there since it may get a, um, harsh response)

descent into the maya underworld
http://magma.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0411/feature2/index.html

sneaked out my compass. To my astonishment, in this cloud-blinded hollow in the forest, the ajq'ij had somehow placed the bottles exactly at the points of the four cardinal directions, with the beer-and-liquor pairing to the east, the most sacred direction.

The lilting, ballad-like music went on and on. We were all offered food and entreated to down yet more aguardiente. The ajq'ij himself had drunk far more than anyone else. Now he placed half the candles upright, digging little holes in the earth to support them, the whole design making a dotted square divided into four quadrants. Among the candles he placed cigarettes, half also upright. Then he lit the upright candles and cigarettes. At one point a candle drooped toward an unlit cigarette. One of the other men started to right it, but Juan stopped him with an urgent gesture. As we watched, the candle dipped by itself and lit the cigarette. This, we learned later, was the best possible sign, indicating that the ancestors, who "eat light," were accepting the offering.

hey that maya link got me thinking how arguelles is faring with his islam inspired prayer sessions these days .. . . His latest communiques don't mention it anymore, he's sunk back into a Buddhist stage again and stuck only one measly little quran quote in .. . anyway, .. .. . his ingeniously cosmic cube slicing (which has much to do with magic fair yet squareness) by way of full work out prayer session brought me to

The greatdreams.com gematrians following Blavatsky's making much of the 144 'circle of tone' 'circle of sound' 'circle of stone' each deliver .. . .well it's just 3 lines in a giant big number filled file really .. . . which is why all these CALCIFICULATIONS strike me as sterile and abstract (not to speak of obsessional; they can't even get a break in/during dreamtime!!!!!!). My aims oppose theirs; I'm looking for ways to deliver people from screen/calculoss/time bondage into filtering (tangible tidbits of time) with multifunctional net sieve type kintriptions (raglike wring wrappable steel powerful enough to squeeze and crunch rock to powder) but i am like a king of hearts getting more desperate as the just relatively local, but nevertheless (perhaps merely private but for that all the more inevitably) final hour strike approaches .. . ..

As such, the Galactic Broadcasting Network - GBN - is the means for dialing up, receiving and transmitting telepathically. But you have to know how to use it.

Yikes!!!! spook me with a spoon!!!!

Everything occurs at precisely the right time. The Closing of the Cycle is the time of the disintegration of old structures and the radiative integration of new structures. But the new structures cannot be "incorporated" until the old ones have been dissolved. The twin circuits of the planetary manitou represent the new etheric energy circuits of the noospheric human. The AC actually represents the fourth-dimensional double, the CA the fourth-dimensionally activated third-dimensional body. That is why the Way of Conduct is actually the training of our higher AC 4-D self (soul, or holon) to take command of the lower CA 3-D self. During the 13 baktun historical cycle, this lower CA self was disconnected from the higher AC 4-D self, so instead of Cosmic Awareness it was CA, Civilizational Advance - the gross materialism that exponentially dominates the historical cycle. Now all of that is being corrected, and we are ready, at least in principle, to move into the stage of Cosmic Awareness.

By placing the higher archetypal collective self of the AC-CA Planetary Manitou in its own correct relationship, we are reorganizing ourselves according to the Law of Time and the synchronic order, reintegrating our 3-D into our 4-D self and vice versa. The higher self must be ready because the subtle vibrations of the higher, less dense universes and world systems are pressing into the noosphere and the whole self must be able to receive these impulses in order to further its evolution. By purifying the senses (abstaining from all intoxicants), attaining to a clear light, materially detached mind, and adopting to a simplified meatless diet in which all killing has been abandoned, we are preparing ourselves for the "divine descent." By learning and practicing the codes of time which illuminate the circuits of the Planetary Manitou we are actually evolving a new etheric body for ourselves.

In this regard, it is very helpful to study the twin circuits of the Planetary Manitou in their eight strand sequences, four per Manitou. Remember to think of the CA as having been folded out from the AC so that it is actually a mirror replica of the AC:

The 1st red (Way of the Tree AC) and the 4th light green (Way of the Transcendent Fourth CA) are perfect mirror pairs;
The 2nd light blue (Way of Conduct AC) and 3rd orange (Way of Wielding Power CA),are perfect mirror pairs.
The violet 8th (Way of the Galactic Octave AC) and the dark green 5th (Way of the Irresistible Fifth CA) are perfect mirror pairs.
The purple 7th (Way of the Telepath AC) and dark blue 6th (Way of the Galactic Octave CA) are perfect mirror pairs.

Think of the AC strand as "sponsoring" the corresponding CA strand. There is an interesting numerology to this pairing of the first and last codon numbers of the strands:

AC Red Way of Tree 1-8 = CA Light Green Transcendent Fourth 25 -32,
AC Light Blue Way of Conduct 9 -16 = CA Orange Way of Wielding power 17 -24
where first codon numbers 1 + 25 = 26, first set = 9 + 17 = 26, second set, while last codon numbers 8 + 32 = 40 of first set = 16 + 24 = 40 of second set
minimum number pairs = AC 26 + CA 26 = 52 (13 x 4)
maximum numbers , AC 40 + CA 40 = 80 (20 x 4) Note the two factors, 13, 20 = 13:20.
Now look at the next two sets and see the same kind of complementarity:

AC Violet Way of Galactic Octave 57-64 = CA Dark Green Way of Irresistible Fifth 33-40
AC Purple Way of the Telepath 49-56 = Indigo Way of Dynamic Construction 41-48
Where first codon numbers 57 + 33 = 90 of first set = 49 + 41 = 90 of second set, while last codon numbers 64 + 40 = 104 of first set = 56 + 48 = 104 of second set
minimum number pairs AC 90 + CA 90 = 180 (20 x 9)
maximum number pairs, AC 104 + CA 104 = 208 (13 x16) 13, 20 factors again = 13:20

Sum of both sets of minimum number pairs = 52 (4 x 13) + 180 = 232 (29 x 8)
Sum of both sets of maximum number pairs 80 + 208 (13 x16) = 288 = 144 x 2
Total sum numbers 232 + 288 = 520 = 260 x 2

"On that day, we will fold the heaven, just like the folding of a book. Just as we initiated the first creation, we will repeat it. This is our promise; we will certainly carry it out." Quran 21:104

Of interest are the numbers and their relation to the synchronic order. According to the Sixteen year Cube of the Law of the 20 Tablets of the Law of Time, the Dreamspell Genesis is coded one kin per Moon. This is the eighth year, so we are completing the eighth or Human Wavespell, Kin 92-104. This means that the thirteenth or Cosmic Moon of this year will be Moon Code Kin 104, Yellow Cosmic Seed. This will be the last Moon of the AC Planetary Manitou. Following the Day out of Time, 12 Night, will be the first day of the new year, also Kin 104, the opening day of the Yellow Cosmic Seed year, and the beginning of the CA Planetary Manitou. The AC will be folded like one part of a book, and the CA will be folded out, like the next part of the book. 104 repeated is a sign that the first creation is being concluded and the Second creation is being initiated.

That means this Day out of Time, 12 Night, 2005, will be a day of most profound significance, one in which the opportunity for a telepathic regeneration of the spirit and of our creative potential will be fully available. On the Day Out of Time the completion of the first Bolontiku, Single Luminous White "A", Guardian of the Original 144,000, in synchronization with the completion of the AC Planetary Manitou, means that the etheric structure of the Bolontiku also participates in that of the Planetary Manitou.

At the Ring's mid point, you hit the Oracle trip switch. On the morning of Resonant Moon 15, your crown has become your root and your root has become your crown - the three root chakras have traded places with the three crown chakras. But your heart chakra remains constant. You are being transformed into your True Self. The Ring oracle which codes the Day out of Time takes the crown. The last shall be first, the lowest shall be raised to the highest. That which crowned the affair of the Ring when the orbit was initiated now becomes the root. The high mountains are made level. The water drains back into the Earth. The Bolontiku, Lord of the Ring, becomes equalized in itself. Heaven descends to Earth, Earth ascends to Heaven. The crystal core of Earth is the crown upon the noosphere by which the Bolontiku-Lord of the Ring becomes a living Fifth Force guardian of V.24.3. Seven Lords of the Ring, Seven Fifth Force Guardians of the Earth. To awaken one Lord of the Ring, is to awaken its circuit within yourself. Time recycles your soul, as your mind is recycled by the Lords of the Ring.

keyword calls and cues can kindle consensus?
This disregard for grammar often leads to more confusion than it tries to avoid. The reinvention of divination tools to count and account for now as ever ubiquitous and relentless change such as ccm is such a case in question. Their categorical compartmentalization cuts conversation short alright, presumably to leave more time for action (the selfsufficient, native culture like community founding, permaculture practise, etcetera type) but if it is true that hundreds of thousands of folks take this calendar seriously they must still be getting their minds around it to such a timeswallowing extent that little is left for working on such recommendations, even though they come from the highest and highly apocalyptic levels of cultish movement authorities. -- Besides, what's the point if as always, meaning erodes, distinction swims, definition sways and boundaries crumble and blur? No lense stays static, take heart, no beginning is final, our task remains, eternally. Of the three small and strongly urging but stagnant movements I have made close study in the last 20 years the first remains my favorite; lemme do a rough inventory:

1) local/body/will ------------ replenish trace mineral content and interactivity worldwide since it is vital to all parts of the biosphere, beginning with foodstuffs. You just won't be gripping in a thrillingly healthy sense before you've gotten grip to this fact of life. Hint: equate time-rock-emit let splendidate piet demonstrate that splinter and fract acts allows information to enter formerly compact and that all blessing flows from there in fact.

2) regional/mind ----------- employ community currencies where appropriate (to execute provision of and cover of basic needs; Hint: equate time-emit - subject); a region with balanced gender relations will surely show them to be competitive with private ones and hold the latter in check).

3)global/spirit ----------- a synthesis of these two may well lead to sightsetting beyond our solar system but that won't be any easier than pulling of the frontforming with islam and hippydom as components such as Arguelles seems to be shooting for (he says: GOD = number (and particularly fond of the Quranic code's fetish fraction: 19); GOD = Galactic Ordering Dynamic - Tzolkin = it's all kin)

HOUSE OF CARDS .. . . . . .. . . . . . 7. Bhille wanted to read about his cards so he learned how to read. One day he saw a newspaper headline that said: Plan, House of Cards. Bhille could not understand the plan for it was too complex for him. He was happy that the wise leaders based their work on the cards. He was inspired to record his own thoughts in a notebook. He wrote: Diamonds represent wealth. Spades, labor. Hearts, health. Clubs, freedom of assembly and speech. Diamonds are useless without spades, worthless without hearts, vulnerable without clubs. Defend property. Spades are enslaved without clubs, idled without diamonds, enfeebled without hearts. Protect wages. Clubs are powerless without hearts, immobilized without spades, hobbled without diamonds. Hold elections. Hearts are broken without diamonds, exposed without clubs, flabby without spades. Train doctors. Respect all cards regardless of size or color. Each one can bring victory. And this, I believe, is most important. Always play with a full deck.

It seems to ramify to the vertical/upward air in water circulation energy harvesting devices I fantasize about here and there.

Anchor on deeplake or ocean floor to stabilize bubble wagon trains might be unnecessary to prevent the whole thing from drifting into horizontal position cause the lower part has to be sturdiest/heaviest.

I'm only half way through yet but this will have to do for now:

"So Summers touched the third rail of contemporary university life, by questioning one of the hallowed tenets of the victimization industry: Deliberate discrimination explains all inequality of result, precluding free discussion of other theories — and thus justifies compensatory collective benefaction."

OK, this proud selfmade stance emanates out of the macho go it alone doctrine the US demagogues like to hold up to public scrutiny . . . .in order to distract from the fact our bullies off the beat bashing billitants are utterly and collectively beholden to the world champs in victimology abuse. I mean, if zionism was originally conceived as a way to restore some of mankind's worst eco offenses, why don't we see Moses appleseeds instead of Vanunus?

piet - from your feb05.htm page - link to infinite-energy.com:

A Dissident View of Relativity Theory
http://www.infinite-energy.com/iemagazine/issue59/adissidentview.html

No doubt the average citizen assumes that relativity theory is vital to our modern society. In truth it has almost no role to play, except in a few narrow branches of science. For example, the Apollo program to land a man on the moon was a complete success as a result of the physics of Sir Isaac Newton—relativity theory did not play a role. Einstein’s work on Brownian motion and the photoelectric effect was far more important than relativity.

This may come as a shock, but Einstein’s theory of relativity is not part of the design of nuclear weapons! As proof, here is an excerpt from The Los Alamos Primer: The First Lectures on How To Build an Atomic Bomb, "Section 2. Energy of Fission Process," page 7:

Somehow the popular notion took hold long ago that Einstein’s theory of relativity, in particular his famous equation E = mc2, plays some essential role in the theory of fission. Albert Einstein had a part in alerting the United States government to the possibility of building an atomic bomb, but his theory of relativity is not required in discussing fission. The theory of fission is what physicists call a nonrelativistic theory, meaning that relativistic effects are too small to affect the dynamics of the fission process significantly."

what does mt st helens have to do with ward churchill?

Posted by: northanger at March 12, 2005 02:42 PM

well, lgf is livid about all things weenywankwhimpily unmacho and uncleverly honest .. . . so they hate indymedia to the extent it answers above description and they hate Ward for the same reason plus they can't get very excited about mt st helens

items on both (plus the one on the UN) seen furtively on the lgf front page this morning.

unfortunately, Ward has nothing with dust either as far as I know; if he had studied all the responses I went to the trouble of making to indymedians who brought the 'diversity of tactics' topic up to defend and roundaboutly propose protest violence and such between seattle and genua -- by the way, a 6 hour long italian movie ('beautiful youth' or some such title, covering decades for various people) beautifully shows how the 68 unrest prefigured a protesters death in last mentioned city -- he would at least be somewhat familiar with real alternatives to his provocately succesful but of course, like they all do, slightly backfiring polarizations, a very much better one than the sell out/buy out standoff 'obey the law' he intones.

hmmm

Posted by: northanger at March 12, 2005 11:15 PM

correction:

-- he would at least be somewhat familiar with real alternatives to his provocatively successful but of course, but, like they all do, slightly backfiring polarizations (holding up a tiny little mirror to big bully brother doesn't give you enough cover either way, the target don't really see, much less recognize sordidity nor does it prevent target (over)looking right past it, see who is trying to hold it up and target liddul sibling in turn); would be nice to say something truly radiant along these lines now that he's got everybody's attention instead of the somewhat lame standoff tonedown backpeddle sell and buy out invitation 'obey the law' he intones.

piet. reading up on your churchill obsession to determine what said exactly (and when) & researching eichmann. much to my surprise...

EICHMANN = YILDUN

ADOLF EICHMANN = [WOMAN=OTHER]

additionally, "obsess" shares same root as "nick" meaning "shallow notch, cut, or indentation on an edge or a surface". my father described success as "a notch on the belt" (as in winning the gunfight at the ok corral). going to show that when one follows an obsession to its natural conclusion it is a NOTCH on the belt.

while WC's heart was in the right place (i'm gathering from your comments) his strategy / tactics questionable. certainly american public needs to know the effects of its foreign & domestic policies - this approach probably too destructive when cognitive dissonance is perhaps the first response. (must point out though: decision to not address slavery in 1776 ((all men created equal yadda yadda)) with complete awareness by founding daddies it would come back to bite everyone in butt - frederick douglass, if not mistaken, said american civil war issue = state sovereignty).

while WC's presentation a little dicey - wasn't original piece written right after 911? so why the explosion now?

hyperstitional minds wanna know.

I just answered Dianna's answer:
www.pirateballerina.com/blog/entry.php?id=36

dutch radio report this morn: modern slavery in holland now; illegal migrant labour earning as much as 2 euro an hour; they are recruited from assorted central stations.

Why now?

Michael Albert's weird take:

ZMag publisher on Ward: Why Ward Churchill? I think Ward would probably say it is because what he is doing is very effective. Ward may even see the attacks on his essay as evidence that the essay had great dissident merit. I think Ward would be wrong in that. Ward is being attacked not because he is the strongest possible target, but because he is one of the weakest possible targets. His essay is featured not because it was seriously threatening, but because it is easily ridiculed. Ward provided right wingers fodder they could manipulatively use. The right wingers are hoping that Ward has sufficiently irritated those who would otherwise defend him so that he is left without defenders. We can't allow that. The right is a long way from going after stronger targets. Everyone on the left has to be sure no targets they do go after are vulnerable.

Piet: Not my feelings or estimates at all Albert; I guess it's no wonder we don't read each other!!!! ---

Richard Oxman doesn't like Albert's take either and intersperses it with comment IN CAPS (even).

ps: I've just made a Meg worth of flat text into a 'prfr' (peculiarly formated 'read' .. which I stopped presenting to the public years ago due to complaints from the indyans and it does cost time to make them) on the subject (only a fraction of all the stuff I looked at, downloaded and looked at a little better) .. . . . looks like I'll have a chance to read it next week too.

OPERA = ZERO
opera is italian for "work, service" from the root OP "to work, produce in abundance" - derivatives include maneuver, manure, operate, operose, cooperate, inure, officinal, stover, omnibus, omnium-gatherum (a hodgepodge), optimum, copious, copy, opulent, and cornucopia (co-, collective and intensive prefix; see kom).

interestingly, ADOLF EICHMANN = ACTIVE VAGINA

phunnily, ROLLED-UP CONDOM = NUCLEOTIDES G-A-T-C (rotflmao)

It's probably elusiveness of, and consequent inability to catch real culprits. This makes the more and more irritated and violent neoconians and co prepared to look for substitute culprits (scapegoats) more than anything. Analogous to complaints about and chokeholds on 'islam' while most islamists steer clear away from the more violent passages of the Quran of course. Christians read selectively too, and so do I for that matter; do have some skills donai? Thanks for noticing.

"rephrase: what is ground zero for churchill brouhaha." --- Churchill is an assault on the conscience of Amerika; he takes the stinging ring of collapsing symbol supreme, the phallic forepost of continent covering American desert, and translates it into close to the ground phallogolemic legalese.

but I want you to bother and for motherings ache come up with the reasons why

1) idiot savants (Arguelles, Boek, Mulcahy, Szabo, etcetera) go for the type of carpet/rug knottage / couting / matrix / calendarizing / timing that seems completely derailed, unhinged and deranged (an amusing distraction at best) to (the majority of) ordinary (encrustedly gregorian grind and beatkeepery committed) folks

2) why 'secret symbols of the ancients' digitizing pioneers like 7thunders.com man charm and strike me as providing valuable service and why the diagonal in his spread reminds me of the earth's tilt and the 19 diagonal in the Tzolkin but I can't quite get it all in focus.

3) why everybody is so glitched if not clinched when it comes to reconciling the share of stuff we do indeed have in common (looking up and out related) with terrestrial ones that divide us.

Trace minerals are myriadly multiple forms of macro in/as micro (in/down) that everybody, by contrast to planets and asteroids CAN actually get a grip on and not only navigate amongst but with the aid of (better than one does automatically already anyway .. . I miss the spirit of abundance that emanated from the green/organic movement, partly cause I stopped travelling but it is also defeated, completely snowed under (intimated and made irrelevant, or at least and at best, less urgent in times of unfriendly types of trouble, falling debris and toxic dust clouds).

good question. ask yourself why the calendar was important to Bede, John Dee and others. or in another sense: christianity (easter), islam (crescent moon sighting), mayan (mckenna), etc.

there's a lot of history (mostly political, some prophetic) behind calendar making.

still on #1. assuming you include me in this list of idiot savants: i see it as an "end of the world" activity (whatever that means). have to admit, on the 911 reaction spectrum i'm close to churchill. only saw 10 seconds of tv & immediately "knew" what was occurring. next day i started working on the grid (calendar).

hmmm. give me a link on the 19 diagonal so i can look at it (and your response is probably correct - exactly what part of it can't you get into focus?)

"idiot savants: i see it as an "end of the world" activity (whatever that means)." ----- yeah, that's just it innit? they have it all ass backward or, if you will, halfway right (just occured to me): end of macro world is time freed up for freeing up micro/world/time; the old and indeed ancient Wendell Berry type thought, except that for a man in his position (a white in a rightfully red one's) sounds sanctimonious; he had a personal conversion but not a more collectively lineage one ... .yet

"Laugh. Laughter is immeasurable. Be joyous though you have considered all the facts." -- Wendell Berry

"end of macro world is time freed up for freeing up micro/world/time" - totally agree. WB is described as a meditating walker (like Whitman; solvitur ambulando (solved by walking)). what i'm experiencing is the sense of walking in the dark, no road. where each micro-brick shows up just in time to step on. hodology is the study of pathways. i have to trust that stepping off the known road leads me to a pathway.

very funny way to live.

I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favor in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

And the Kafka quote brings memories of 'see the north wind rise' or 'seven days in new crete' (love story I would have much rather seen made into a movie than I Claudius - wooda been less diabolically urban; lifting people of the ground at the expense of having and owning a ground 'fired' floor is a deadly sin)

At the mirrored man whose beard needs my attention,

He still stands ready, with a boy’s presumption,
To court the queen in her high silk pavilion.

a quick description will have to do for now (ain't it bedtime yet)

vertical rows of 20 starting at the top and repeated 13 times is tzolkin

going diagonally from bottom to next number up and left leaves a difference of 19 for every possible step; of course during all the sacred stepping things go in spirals and jump to harmonically resonant points all around the globe but there is a linear live through also.

the regular playing deck spread on a grid of 12 x 31 making sure each diagonal (parallel ones, only one way too) gets only one kind of card (thus one occurence in the corner 2 in the next line down, etcetera allows you to cover 365 days with 52 cards easy.

Hegel : How We Think Determines What We Think
http://members.austarmetro.com.au/~lofting/myweb/howthink.html

A State, as such, despite any attempt to generalise, to abstract the term, is still something WITHIN the realm of the species and as such Hegel's words can appear 'extreme' at times (gets into the whole concept of 'warrior states' etc etc) but his texts can 'resonate' with some in that they intuitively pick-up the 'true' context in which the writtings seem more 'comfortable', BUT there are many who cannot pick this up and as such strongly oppose/write off Hegel. When we take Hegel's prose 'as is' other than change ONE word so the prose takes on a different colouring that is more 'acceptable'. The word change is of 'State' to 'Species'. Some examples, taken from Hegel's Philosophy of Right (further comments after the examples):

tortuga board (now defunct) question:

solar year and mundane spread (with ordinary card deck) yields diagonal constant too; namely the same card (to make 52 fill out a whole year); the shortes diagonal is the rarest (birth)card/quality and the longest the most common; simple and elegant.

I just sent this to http://www.7thunders.com to ask his opinion on how 'his' spreads and the 7X4X13 thing compare

Subject: regarding your work in relation to that of Jose Arguelles who's work can be viewed via http://www.tortuga.com

hi, I am interested in trying to harmonize/find common ground between your
system (which i have tested extensively and intensily during years of
travelling) on the one hand and the 13:20 grid Jose Arguelles explains
everything including hiroshima, the inauguration and downfall of the WTC
towers, even the code encrypted in the quran unbeknownst to the receiver
Mohammed.

His work has generated quite a following some of which I have recently mapped
(my first acquaintance dates from Glastonbury during his grand harmonic
convergence). All mentioned dates have a signature/stamp ruling my birthglyph
(2nd of june 1858 (some kind of a blue eagle) curious enough.

Here's your change to see what I'm on about (if you haven't caught onto it
already . . actually I meant to ask you why you think the diagonal in his grid
is so important and constant .. .which 'yours' happens to be also . ..
questions questions. .. .)

http://members.lycos.nl/vadercats/june2.htm

ps:
http://members.lycos.nl/vadercats/june3.htm has an answer from Robert Camp but the timewavezero (Mckenna) folk didn't think this was worth answering; I hope someone here can.

Another thing I am curious about is why Arguelles and you guys don't really engage in a little mundane analysis in the sense of predicting how prominents (like Bush and Berlusconi say), the all too often all too powerful interact?

That is the reward for correct timing after all: insight on psychic levels and influence from perfectly ripened foodstuffs.

though I could now ask the question at all these many tribe groups again I am not about to join a bill gates outfit (bad enough I work windows at this location).

intro to "unabomber manifesto"
http://wikisource.org/wiki/Industrial_Society_and_Its_Future

The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in "advanced" countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human beings to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in "advanced" countries.

translated "eich" at bablefish and got "calibrate". totally wrong. but searching around discovered kennedy may have said "i am a jelly donut". in german, "kalibrieren" is calibrate; "eichen" is also calibrate but it means "compare the readings of (an instrument) with those of a standard (and adjust the instrument as necessary)" -- once standard verified a "seal" is received (see link).

interestingly, one of the asteroids on the biglist is ISO on path 34 (new seed released). ISO is the International Organization for Standardization -- the ISO deals with eichen, kalibrieren & justieren.

pondering: why did ward churchill choose Eichmann and not Himmler (wiki: Himmler chief architect of the Holocaust)? or. what are the eichmann-characteristics of the wtc? interesting:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eichmann
"A footnote to Eichmann's SS career focuses on the point as to why he was never promoted to the rank of full SS-Colonel, known as Standartenführer. With Eichmann's record and responsibilities, he would have been a prime candidate for promotion yet, after 1941, his SS record contains no evidence that he was ever even recommended for another promotion. Many have speculated that Ernst Kaltenbrunner may have seen Eichmann as a dangerous man, rising through the SS ranks, and had curbed his SS career to prevent Eichmann from becoming too powerful."

btw. ASMODAI-BELIAL two most powerful goëtic demons: ASMODEUS on the biglist is day demon AQUARIUS 10°–15°, BELIAL is night demon AQUARIUS 15°–20° (night demons = "occult"). apparently, Aquarius 15° is some type of aeonic gateway. on biglist, asteroids KLIO, ASMODEUS & ANTARCTICA conjunct.

[1] "Mountains of Madness" occurs on antarctic continent (artic = north pole // antarctica = south pole).

[2] KLIO muse of heroic poetry and history; seen with parchment scroll or a set of tablets; name means "to celebrate"; known as the Proclaimer - genus of polar pteropods named after her: (Clione papilonacea abundant in arctic ocean; food for greenland whale).

[3] asteroid HYPERBOREA currently 15Aq12 near fixed star OCULUS (eye). AQ15 ruled by p-demon MUR, Dream-Serpent: Syzygetic Chronodemon of the Deep Ones. Hyperboreans mythical race, "beyond the north wind", sun shines 24/7. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard & Clark Ashton Smith participated in threeway hyperborean-atlantis cycle. also, Hyperborea plays some type of role in nazi mysticism.

lastly, asteroid LIBERA (aka Ariadne; latin :: free, unimpeded; void of; outspoken, frank; licentious) is also conjunct ANTARCTICA; Liber Ivonis ("Book of Eibon"; part of cthulhu mythos) book of black magic by wizard from ... Hyperborea.
